Medieval manuscript music sheets

Two large sheets of music, vellum, painted on both sides, 71 x 50 cm.

These leaves, originating from church psalters are often large sized folios. Because of the costly procedure involved in making a book, the songbook was shown in front of the church, often held by 3 or more people, so the congregation could see and sing it.
