Rare German edition of a standard on Java, the first Dutch edition of which appeared in episodes from 1849 to 1854 titled "Java, deszelfs gedaante, bekleeding en inwendige structuur" (from episode 11 titled "Java zijne gedaante, zijn plantentooi en inwendige bouw"). Our edition is a translation of the second Dutch edition (1843-1854).
