Vols. 1 and 2 (dealing with the periods before 1200 to 1555 and 1555 to 1702) both have an individual binder's index, each with 5 plates (all present). Vol. 3 has a general binder's index for all three volumes listing all 14 double-p. views. The indices differ in the indication of the pages where the plates should be bound, according to the "Bericht voor den binder" in the third volume, this differs acoording to whether the volumes are going to be "Ingenaaid" or bound; (2) Beschryving van Amsterdam verkort; gevolgd naar den heer Jan Wagenaar.
