[Freemasonry] Gold medal of the St. George's Lodge no. 2165

"Presented to Bro. Wm. Stephens P.D.G.O..I.P.M. by the St. George's Lodge 2165 EC 5898". Consisting of (1) gold pendant with St. George in enamelled shield in blue and red on front, with engraved text on back; (2) gold freemasonry symbol of square and golden ratio; (3); gold snap hook and 3 gold rings, total length 10 cm.

With: (4) gold badge dated 5898, together in the original box with address on inside: "H.T. Lamb Masonic Jeweller 5 St. John's Square London". Ad (1): marked on reverse with maker's mark "H.T.L." (H.T Lamb), lion's head (London), date letter C for 1898, crown and hallmark 18. Ad (2): marked on reverse with crown and hallmarks 18 and 750. Ad (3): snap hook marked with hallmark 585 and unidentified mark; rings marked varyingly with varying marks 18 and 585. Ad (4): date badge marked with hallmark 18c. Extraordinary masonic jewel finished in heavy, high percentage gold and in the original jeweller's box. The West Australian (Perth) of Tuesday 4 May 1897 reports the appointment of William Stephens to New Master of St. George's Lodge 2165 EC.
