[Album amicorum] Friend album of notary Hermanus van Reyn Cz from The Hague,
with 15 contributions dated 1851-1857, each contribution 11 x 18 cm., loose in original richly gilt bookshaped cardboard box with gilt lettered "Album" on front cover and "Souvenir" on the inside, oblong 8vo.
Contains among other things a landscape in pencil signed "D.J. Jut Fecit" with on the reverse a handwritten contribution by the same, a view of Buitenzorg in pencil with a handwritten contribution on the reverse by A.J. v.d. Burg, mountain scenery in pencil heightened with white with on the reverse the name F.A. de Haan, various embroideries on cards specifically prepared for such use by two sisters of Van Reyn, J.G. Jut and others, a handwritten contribution "aan mijnen vriend H. van Reyn Cz." by J.J. Swiers (minister and writer in Havelte, see DBNL), a double-sided embroidered flower bouquet by Cornelis Volbracht and handwritten contributions by Henriëtte Anna Volbracht and A.J. van Limbeek.
Furthermore, loose in the box, a sealed letter addressed to J.G.J. Jut ("hartelijk geliefde Anna!" signed Hermanus [van Reyn?], on stationery with blind stamp "Mr. J.F.A Leesberg notaris 's Gravenhage".
