der stad Leiden 6 October 1775". Manuscript on two attached vellum leaves, 40 x 55 cm, with paper seal, signed by Pieter van Bleiswijk (1724-1790), Raadpensionaris of Holland, F.F. Clotterbookes (3x) and A.J. Royen.

Waterstained at folds. Interesting document, appointing Jacob van der Neer, Heer van Hogeveen, as schout of the city of Leiden, "in plaatzen van wijlen den Heer Mr. Nicolaas van Alphen", and stating (with the signatures of Clotterbookes and Royen) that Van der Neer has fulfilled the necessary oaths and paid the enormous amounts of "Amptgeld" for this function.
