Haarlem, J. Enschedé en Zoonen, 1778, (71) p., with numerous facsimile signatures, contemp. chintz boards, folio. Covers loosening, 1 leaf loose. Warranted in pen by J. van Hees at the end. A beautiful early facsimile printing achievement by Johannes Enschedé en Zoonen, commisioned by the Dutch government, in which important official documents from 6 December 1578 to 13 July 1579 (on the Union of Utrecht) are republished using the original printing types of Aelbert Hendricxz from 1578. All the original manuscript signatures are reproduced with stunning accuracy. (total 2)
