Extraordinary copy: signed on the endpaper by 4 persons on whom characters from the book are based, members of the resistance group that freed author Theun de Vries from Amersfoort concentration camp. Truus Menger-Oversteegen ("An") and her sister Freddie Dekker-Oversteegen ("Tinka") (on 15 April 2014 both resistance sisters were decorated with the Mobilisatie-Oorlogskruis by Dutch PM Mark Rutte); Cor Rusman ("Roelant") (Rusman was a bricklayer, Roelant too); Gerben Wagenaar ("Freek") (in real life he was nicknamed "Blonde Freek", see http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerben_Wagenaar). Also signed by the author himself.
