Het Getij. Maandblad voor Letterkunde. Volume IV
Amsterdam, De Hooge Brug/ Vereeniging Kring voor Letterkunde, January-December 1919, 12 issues with continuous paging, 334,(4) p., with woodcut (repeated) vignettes and woodcut original stapled [but not identical] cover printed in red and black, 18 x 16 cm.
April, June and November issues waterstained; here and there slightly foxed or other small defects, but a good set.
Beautifully detailed and very rare magazine, especially as complete volume as presented here. This important magazine appeared with various subtitles from 1916 to 1924, then continued as De Vrije Bladen. The front and back covers show a different stylised astrological sign every time. The final issue contains a table of contents for the entire volume, from which it appears that Theo van Doesburgh contributed 4 articles. The title inside differs slightly from the one on the outside: "'Het Getij', Maandschrift voor Letterkunde, staat onder redactie van Herman van den Bergh, Ernst Groenevelt, Jhr. J.W. de Marees van Swinderen en Constant van Wessem. Medewerkers zijn: Theo van Doesburgh, Just Havelaar, C.J. Kelk, Wouter Loeb, Willem de Mérode, M. Nijhoff, E. d'Oliviera, Martin Permys, Dr. M.H.J. Schoenmaekers, Noto Soeroto, Jeanne Willing, Co van Sweden, Karel Wash, Erich Wichman, H.Th. Wijdeveld, e.a."
