Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797 – 1861) – Two multicoloured prints of a triptych of an actor print (Yakusha-e) – 1840* + Utagawa Kunisada (1786 - 1865) – "Gion Sairei Shinkoki" triptych – 1840. Three kabuki actors from a scene from the play Gion Sairei Shinkoki.*
The left and right part of a yakusha-e triptuch, in which kabuki actors are depicted in their role in a play. Left print: Ichikawa Kuzo as Saito Goro Kuniyoshi; right print: Nakamura Utaemon as Tametomo. Bright colouration, both prints here and there slightly damaged.
