Two maps with slightly frayed and tanned margin; hinges split and spine top damaged. Contains fine maps of the world (with rococo border), Europea, Asia, Africa, America and France. Lovely, oft-reprinted pocket travel guide with extensive descriptions of countries, provinces, cities with their distances to Paris, climate, routes, currencies, etc. The first edition appeared in 1757. Jean-Joseph Expilly (1719-1793), French monk and author of many geographical and historical works.
