[With special provenance] Recueil des plusieurs enigmes, airs, devises et medailles

Enrichis de figures. Amsterdam, Chez Jansson de Waesberge, 1684, (2),259,(1) p., engravings (illustrations always full-page): in the Enigmes volume (up to p. 154) 24 illustrations, in the Devises volume (p. 205-208) 1 folding plate and 2 illustration, and in the Medailles volume (p. 209 to end) 11 plates (1x folding) and 12 illustrations, contemporary calf with ribbed, gilt back 12mo.

Good copy with owner's annotation on the inside of the front board: "A moy Léopoldine princesse [written across the word "comtesse"] de Starhemberg nee P. de Löwenstein". She was the wife of Konrad Sigmund Graf von Starhemberg (1689–1727). Also with the stamp of the Fürstlich Starhemberg'sche Familien Bibliothek Schloss Eferding on the free endpaper. The castle library came up for auction in 1956. On the inside of the front board also the ex libris and a small stamped monogram of Charles van der Elst (1904 - 1982), president of the Belgian Société Royale des Bibliophiles et Iconophiles. His fine library came up for auction in 1993.
