Rosa Bonheur (1822-1899). Signed letter,

bifolium with on the front the letter and on the back an attribution in another hand, the letter dated "Paris, 29 octobre 1851" and addressed to "Monsieur", 21.3 x 13.2 cm. (folded), together with a steel-engraved portrait of Bonheur in an old file with on the front a strip from a 19th-century auction catalogue (letter folded several times).

The paintress reports that the painting ordered by the recipient of the letter has "left" and asks him to let her know when he has received it in good order. She hopes he will be satisfied and has tried her best to appeal to his taste.
