[Chapbooks] Three titles: (1) Een schoone historie van den ridder Malegys,

Here, dating is difficult, no copies in PiCarta; they are found in some Belgian libraries but with greatly differing dates. Moreover, several printers are known as L. van Paemel. At the beginning in pencil dated c. 1843, in our opinion earlier, the newest title with address Erve(n) de Weduwe Jacobus van Egmont in PiCarta is dated 1795; (2) Een schoone historie van den ridder malegys (...). Nearly exactly the same title as the former with address Amsterdam, de Erven de Weduwe J. van Egmont/ Ghent, P.A. Kimpe, n.d. (c. 1780), 96 p., with woodcut title vignette, later wrapper, 4to (trifle foxed/ slightly browned, spine covered with paper tape). Very good, untrimmed copy with signature of J.A. Alberdingk Thijm on inside front cover and his small bookplate on the title page. With the same approbations at the end; (3) De historie van Madelgijs, zijnde eene inleiding tot de Geschiedenis der Vier Heemskinderen, naar het Nederlandsche volksboek bewerkt (...) door J. d. B. [J. de Busco, pseudonym of J.C.A. Hezenmans] published by Jos. Alb. Alberdingk Thijm. Amsterdam, C.L. van Langenhuysen, 1861, (4),63, 91) p., later halfcloth. (total 3)
