"Tot Amsterdam by Barent Greve bove de Beurs regt over de Deur in de Kas No. 7", n.d. (ca. 1700), letterpress index leaf and 98 (of 100) engraved plates and EXTRA 4 plates included twice (nos. 13-16), all leaves with holes in left margin for original cord, oblong folio (21 x 33.5 cm.), loose in contemporary vellum portfolio with ties.

Lacks title and final two views (Deutzen-Hofje and Pest-huys); index leaf and final leaf duststained and frayed, remaining leaves at beginning and end with turned corners; here and there (waterstained) soiled but nearly all prints in acceptable to good condition. Very rare reissue of Schenk's own edition titled "Gezigten der stad Amsterdam en derzelver voornaamste gebouwen", ca. 1695. We copied the title and (uncertain) date of our edition from the description in PiCarta for the facsimile which appeared in 1967, the original edition is not list in PiCarta or Worldcat.
