Text quire reattached with sellotape (weak on inner joints); endpapers browned as usual. Cloth with tear at lower joint and other minor defects. An acceptable copy with the bookplate and owner's stamp of A.P.M. de Kluijs (Tilburg) and owner's entry in pen of Van Vredenburch (most likely jhr. Hendrik Frederik Lodewijk Karel van Vredenburch (1905-1981), top diplomat, envoy and authorised minister of Foreign Affairs who played an important role in negotiations between the Netherlands and Indonesia after the first "politionele actie" in 1947). This copy with 4 EXTRA loosely inserted col. lithogr. maps (all with owner's name of Van Vredenburch), of Celebes and Borneo (84 x 63.5 cm and 78 x 66 cm, both published by the Topografische Inrichting Batavia in 1909), Zuid-West Celebes (49 x 51.5 cm, published by J. Smulders, The Hague) and Groot Atjeh etc. (40 x 58 cm, mounted on cloth with the "Alphabetische naamlijst" on verso, published by Dagblad "De Nederlander").
