The final leaf erroneously mentions "réogrammes par Barry", instead of Parry. Surrealist poems by Léon-Paul Fargue (1876-1947) illustrated with photos and compositions by Roger Parry (1905-1977) and Fabian Loris (1906-1979). "The 'Banalité' images are like a crash course in New Vision photography over 16 lessons. Parry utilizes multiple exposure, photogram (assisted by the artist and actor Fabian Loris), photomontage, solarization, and negative print, employing each technique with such verve and imagination that the potential lack of unity in the suite of photographs is never an issue. (…) Some of his most enduring and intriguing photographs." (Parr/ Badger).
