[Armand Heins] En Hollande. Au fil de l'eau et sur les calmes rives.
25 lithographies par Armand Heins. Préface par Cyriel Buysse. Ghent, Maison d'Éditions d'Art N. Heins, 1902, printed in a numbered edition (this is number 66) of unknown size, letterpress title, introduction (2 p.) and list of the plates on 2 bifolia, 25 lithographed plates printed on various types of (tinted) paper, loose as published in the original lithographed cardboard portfolio, large folio (52 x 36.5 cm.).
Plates largely slightly brittle/ frayed or with minor tears in blank margins, text leaves soiled/ foxed. Portfolio lacks ties and slightly worn/ soiled/ with minor damage. Nevertheless an acceptable copy, with dedication in pen by Heins on the title page: "Pour les étrennes de 1907 á mon cher petit camarade Jean Baertsoen, ce souvenir d'une superbe excursion en Hollande, en l'aimable compagnie de son grand-papa, de son papa [one of these must be the artist Albert Baertsoen], et de son oncle Georges" [monogram A.H.]. Rare, PiCarta lists only 9 separate prints from the portfolio. Contains views of St. Anna-ter-Muiden, Enkhuizen, Katwijk, Marken, Middelburg, Vlissingen, Woudrichem, Zaandam, Zandvoort, Zierikzee etc. The subtitle doubles as the title of the literary introduction by Buysse. A fine Belgian impression of the Netherlands.
