(date foreword 1895), 97,(2) p., nearly each page with colour woodcut illustrations enclosing the letterpress text (incl. many two-page woodcuts), original cordbound wrapper, bound as blockbook, 19.5 x 15 cm., in the original cardboard wrapper, decorated with colour woodcuts, with 1 (of 2) bone clasps (good copy with some dents/ vage folds, cardboard wrapper trifle worn).

(2) Poetical Greetings from the Far East. Japanese Poems. From the German Adaptation of Dr. Karl Florenz by A. Lloyd. Tokyo, Printed and published by T. Hasegawa, n.d. (translated foreword dated 1896), 98,(1) p., finished entirely similar to the previous work and in the same good condition (also lacks one bone clasp). Lovely combination of two early editions of the same work, which would be reprinted many times.
