with name of compiler/ first owner S.A. van der Chijs and dated "Amsterdam 22-23 October 1906" on flyleaf, with photos of ± 14 x 20 to 18 x 23 cm., 19 photos of ± 12 x 17 and 11 smaller photos, with inscriptions partly dated 16-23 May 1903 to 12 August 1906, bound in contemporary cloth, oblong folio (23 x 32 cm.).

Cloth torn and discoloured on spine, else good. Album with fine, lively views of Funchal, capital of Madeira (e.g. transport of persons and goods by (ox) sled), Puerto de Orotava on Tenerife, Puerto de la Luz and various city scenes of Las Palmas, Cadiz (incl. Paseo del Sur with cathedral and Calle Duque de Tetman), a number of photos taken of/ on sailing ships and several photos of bullfighting.
