[Sumatra] Batak manuscripts

Two Batak manuscripts on palm leaf (?) as folding books between wooden boards. North Sumatra, c. 1900. (1) 23 leaves, the first and last affixed to wooden boards, remainder written on both sides. 15 x 16 cm. Good copy. (2) 18 leaves, the first and last affixed to wooden boards, remainder written on both sides, several with images or schematic text. Boards decorated with carving. 10 x 8.5 cm. Leaves stained and with minor tears, else good.
