Vítor Péon (1923-1991)

Three war cartoons, c. 1943. Watercolour. Signature bottom right. (1) Roosevelt as Cowboy; 2) 3-star General De Gaulle; (3) King George IV with heralds (slightly stained on bottom). Each 45 x 30 cm.

*Péon drew Tomahawk Tom and worked on several series for weekblad Kuifje in the 50s/ 60s. His style is reminiscent of early work by Jef Nys and the Belgian School of the 40s. (total 3)
