Contains 3 long poems: Waar geluk; Buiten; In den vreemde en nabij, and 2 stories connecting the images on the plates, incl. "Onschuld en trouw of Karel en Caro", and "Tweede vertooning". Beautifully illustrated, rare Warmond edition; (2) Uit verre landen en van nabij. Verhalen voor de jeugd door Elise. Amsterdam, G.W. Tiekemeijer, n.d. (1850), 98,(2) p., with 6 handcoloured, lithographed plates, original gilt-lettered and blindstamped cloth. Contents occ. tender, joints fragile, binding stained.
