8vo, 3 volumes, halfleather, title on spine in gilt stamping, uniformly bound, marbled endpapers, XVI,(2),399; III,400 and III,384 pp. The atlas volume, normally consisting of 2 parts and here combined, small folio, halfleather, lacks spine, covered with paper, binding plasticised, with 2 general maps of the Brazilian east coast, a detailed map of Porto Alegro inland + 18 of 19 engravings; the second vol. with 17 of 22 double-page copper engravings, of which 5 handcoloured. Most engravings with mild staining. Combined French-German edition. Scarce. (total 4)
