Guillotine cigar cutters for the Prins Hendrik Stichting Egmond aan Zee
Two "guillotine" cigar cutters. Zaanlandsche Blikfabriek Woud & Schaap, Krommenie, second half 19th century. Each 6 x 3.5 x 1.2 cm.
*Cutters made to keep the cigar tips in. These tips were made into new tobacco products. In this case to support the Prins Hendrik Stichting in Egmond aan Zee, where this foundation ran a home for old seamen. This way, these seamen were provided with smoking materials for free.
