[Sri Lanka] Picture postcards Ceylon

Collection of 79 picture postcards (9 x 14 cm.) of Ceylon (1x Sumatra) with photos of views of Colombo or jungle, Hindu temples, traditional costume, professions, architecture, etc. Mostly written in pen in Dutch, remainder in English, dated 1901/1902. A few cards with image of and/or address 'Camp of the Boer Prisoners-of-War'. The last of these cards with inscription 'Eindelijk is de dag der vrijheid aangebroken. Maandag kan ik naar Indië vertrekken.'

All circulated with postage stamp and stamps, 14 cards with postage stamps removed. In good condition. (total 79)
