[Peepshow] Lot with 28 handmade, coloured peepshow parts

first half 19th century, consisting of 15 cut-out gouache drawings and the remainder of cut-out parts of engravings, various dimensions (± 6.5 x 3 to 7 x 19 and 12.5 x 14 cm.), with the original wooden stands, in contemporary cord-affixed box of blue cardboard covered with chintz paper, 22 x 15.5 x 5.5 cm.

Extraordinary and colourful collection with occ. defects such as missing pieces and loose or tender stands, box tender along 3 sides. On the bottom of the box an annotation in pencil: "Amsterdam 1810 gemaakt door J. en F.W. Fabius". Several parts with date on reverse, due to the choice of supporting materials such as part of a title page (1817) and Felix Meritis "entree-billets" filled out by hand (1810s). The collection incl. the following original drawings: a large sailing ship and a smaller one, the facade of a house ("Logement"), a village view with church, house and drawbridge, weighing scales, a man writing at a table, a merchant with horse sleigh and a merchant with pusher boat. (total 28 in box)
