[(Counter-)Remonstrants] Convolute with 2 editions of the same work: (1) Comoedia Vetus

Knuttel 2018; F.M. 1286 (title): "Spotprent op de Godsdiensttwisten met de aanhangers van Arminius (...)."; Scheepers 1120: "Zeer zeldzame oorspr. uitgave van het geestig paskwil op de Remonstrantse Christen". "De schrijver is een zekere Willem Meerman (...). Alleraardigst heeft hij in dit geschrift geheel in scheepstermen zijn tijd geschetst en geen van beide partijen gespaard, hoewel hij blijkbaar meer naar de Staten-zijde, als meer gematigde, overhelde" (Knuttel, the pages related to this work from Knuttel have been bound in this convolute in photocopy). (2) Comoedia Vetus of Bootsmans Praatje, door eenige aentekeninge opgeheldert en vermeerdert./ Mallewagen, zynde een vervolg, en verantwoording van de Comoedia Vetus (...). Amsterdam, P. Visser, 1718, 2 parts with consecutive paging, (8),110,(18) p., with engraved frontispiece (copy of the one in (1)) and title vignette, the second part (Malle-wagen, begins at p. 73) with large title illustration. Damp-affected copy with various tape repairs of minor tears and missing marginal pieces. One description we have traced speaks of a missing folding table; this table also not present here. On the letterpress title the signature of S.J. (?) Robitsch. Knuttel 2024, adaptation by Georgius van Zonhoven. (total 2 parts in 1 vol.)
