W.F. Hermans (1921-1995)

Two letters by W.F. Hermans, 19 June and 18 July 1989, to Ad Fransen, who was making a VPRO documentary on Hermans at the time. Typed letters with signature and stamp in airmail and regular envelope.

Hermans writes about impending surgery on his right arm, which will have consequences for the shooting of the documentary (several months earlier, Hermans was wounded when he and his wife were robbed in Paris). In the subsequent letters he writes: 'Van opnamen in een donkere kamer kan geen sprake zijn, omdat ik mijn rechterarm bijna niet gebruiken kan.' He then writes about a planned interview with victim of polemics: 'Mits niet met Piet Grijs, aangezien die er toch maar wat op los liegt.' (total 2)
