Originally oblong, issued in 2 vols. Here small folio, 2 parts in new binding, halfleather, title on spine in red and gilt stamping, marbled boards and complete with 202 full-page lithographs (bound across) with most facing the accompanying text (some texts with multiple numbers). After design by Madou, Pingret but mostly after Generaal De Howen. Finished by Jobart. At the end a large folding map with coloured outlines of the Kingdom of the Netherland in 1825. Title page vol. II bound halfway in. Binding and plates in near-perfect condition.
