Collection of 16 various large-sized prints,

18th-19th cent., various techniques mainly depicting exteriors and interiors of Dutch churches.

Incl.: (1) Nicolaas Listingh (1630-1705) (after). (Design of a Koepelkerk in Amsterdam). Engraving, 1711, sheet size 73.5 x 49.5 cm. With a few small tears, incl. one central horizontal fold; trimmed on/ near the plate mark; sl. soiled. Famous design of this church to be build at the Botermarkt, but never executed. It was planned to be 90 meters high; (2) "De Groote of St. Laurens Kerk, te Rotterdam, van binnen na de zyde des Choors te zien." Engraving by Jan Punt after Paul van Liender, 1760, 33 x 43 cm. (vague central vertical fold); (3) "Monument voor de Plechtige Inwijding der Roomsch-Catholieke Kerk toegewijd aan God; onder voorbidding van den Heiligen Willibrordus (...)." Engraving after H.P. Oosterhuis, 46.5 x 33.5 cm, published in The Hague by A.A.M. Sluyter, 1823. Sl. creased and with oblique folds, but a good "proefdruk" with very wide margins. The church of Saint Willibrordus in The Hague, designed by Adrianus Tollus, was built in 1821-1822 at the Assendelftsstraat; (4) "Aanval by Ouderkerk aan den Amstel op de afgebrooke brug by het groote loopveld (...)." Engraving by Th. Koning after J.D. Teissier, 1789, 37 x 47 cm, published by D.M. Langeveld. Tiny tear in lower margin ; vage central vertical fold; trimmed on/ near the plate mark. And 12 others in various conditions, incl. "Monument der Doopsgezinden". Allegorical engraving by C. Brouwer after D. Kerckhoff, 1792 ("Proefdruk") and a very large mezzotint depicting the inauguration of king William I in Brussels, 21 September 1815. (total 16)
