[China 18th/ 19th century] Large Chinese woodcut of traveller carrying a pack on his back

Large woodcut on laid paper (?) with lining and various panels with Chinese characters in white against a black background, 131 x 63 cm., rolled up.

With folds, (repaired) small tears, creasing, small holes and thin patches (e.g. as a result of the printing technique combined with the thin paper). Considering the size and fragility of the print still a good copy, perfectly restorable. Splendid and exceptionally decorative, large print of a traveller with a bamboo frame on his back, with extensive captions in Chinese characters. Both date and printing technique are difficult to ascertain; during the printing the white parts were deepened in the paper, therefore raised on the reverse.
