[Peepshow] Lot with 49 handcoloured, lithographed and numbered peepshow parts
Germany, 1st half 19th century, all cut in shape and (except the very lowest) with wooden sticks pasted on reverse for reinforcement and (except a few) with the original (?) stands, smallest 4 x 2 cm., largest 17 x 11 cm.
Extraordinary collection of used peepshow parts. Incl. children in various fairground attractions, a zoo, a farm, a palace with additional buildings, a "folly", an obelisk-shaped monument, and garden architecture and elements. Present are the following numbers: 1-3, 5, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23-28, 30-35, 39, 40-45, 49, 52-54, 54, 58-58. Also 10 parts (9 cypresses and a flower pot) without number, with the sticks of the trees sharpened to place them in a stand together with another part. (total 49)
