Without the plates. Front board and flyleaf loose, bookblock somewhat foxed/ browned. With heraldic bookplate of Comte de Kerchove de Denterghem to inside front board. Exceptional and rare collection of the letterpress titles and tables of contents of the separate fascicles of this work, which was eventually published in 1868 under the title Monuments [sic] typographiques des Pays-Bas au quinzième siècle. The original owner apparently chose to preserve the letterpress material of the fascicles and to have it bound in one volume. We were unable to trace the plate part of this collection with the general, final title (very rare in itself).
