*An iconic drawing after the illustration adorning the back of the first Douwe Dabbert albums. The first drawing made by Piet Wijn in hospital after a stroke forced him to use his weaker hand. After months of practice, the physiotherapist who helped him recover received this drawing, improved layer by layer, as a gift. Not yet the steady hand of before, but astounding for someone who had to learn from scratch how to draw with his other hand. The drawing itself refers to the whole situation: instead of walking whistling underneath an owl on a tree branch, here the owl has dropped something on Douwe's hat...
