Series of 14 (of 16) handcoloured lithographs and 7 (of 10?) letterpress text leaves printed on both sides, leaf ± 15 x 10 cm., originally from an edition unknown to us (2nd half 19th century), framed together in one large mount with the text leaves visible on both sides, frame measures 144 x 55 cm.

Lacks two plates and several text leaves, 4 text leaves present with (repaired) tears/ corners. The first printing of Schenkman's classic appeared in 1850 at G. Th. Bom, followed by a reissue c. 1861 (Bom) and an undated reprint by Vlieger. Our plates differ only slightly from digitised copies available online.
