Frederick de Widt [after Petrus Kaerius]. Amsterdam, 1662. Coloured "carte à figures" (map 44 x 56 cm.) of the XVII Provinces after an earlier edition by Petrus Kaerius, with a re-engraved cartouche top right and ships on the North Sea. Cartouche with title and the coats of arms of each of the 17 provinces. Top and part of the sides with images of the most important cities. Also 2 cartouches bottom right and centre left with mile and city indicator. Map reinforced on reverse with Japanese paper and professionally restored.
