INFO.
Editorial address: Beulakerweg, Giethoorn. Nos. 1-18 (15/16 double no.). Giethoorn, 1972-1974, complete in 17 vols., illustrations, original uniform wrapper.
Front no. 1 with a few stains, else in good condition.
Lovely and rare periodical, initially founded by Herman Pieter de Boer to use up his supply of paper, after moving from Amsterdam-Noord to Giethoorn. He also intended to use the magazine to maintain (decreasing) contact with his friends. The magazine clearly became successful; after a few issues the look became much more professional, and it featured contributions by Armando, Cees Buddingh', Jan Cremer, Heere Heeresma, Queen Juliana (a letter of thanks for the six-month subscription she received), Dimitri Frenkel Frank, Marga Minco, Jan Montijn, Renate Rubinstein, Nico Scheepmaker, Annie M.G. Schmidt, Peter van Straaten, Herman van Veen, Bert Voeten and others.
No. 12 includes a list of subscribers, only some 130 names but mostly Dutch celebrities. An exclusive magazine with a modest design, produced in limited numbers for "zij die geschiedenis maakten!". (total 17)
