[Paper machines. Thiry] Appareils et machines pour la fabrication de papier et du carton.
Huy, Thiry & Cie., n.d. (c. 1910), 27 p. text printed in red and green and with 12 photographic illustrations, with 31 (very) large folding, coloured plates with ills. advertisement leaves in between, original gilt-lettered halfcloth, 4to.
Pages 5-6 torn (makeshift repairs with labels); plate 5 torn in 2 parts (repaired in the same manner); remaining folding plates occ. with (tape-repaired) small tear/ tears to folds. Splendid, very rare trade catalogue with enormous plates, appropriate for the gigantic size of the fully automatic paper machines made by Thiry. Considering the many recommendations from papermakers in the text (incl. Van Gelder Zonen), paper-machine maker Thiry (founded in 1848) must be seen as one of the most important and successful in the business.
