23 December 1902, at 6.30 in the morning, a train engine with five cars drove into the Wiericke near the Waarder on the Molendijk in Nieuwerbrug. The destruction was great; the conductor was killed, the stoker and the operator were seriously injured. The passengers survived unharmed. (total 8)
