[Westerwald] Jug of glazed stoneware,
body profusely decorated in relief with lion masks, children's heads, star and dot patterns and rosette friezes against a blue surface, narrow neck with large lion mask, Westerwald, 2nd half 17th century, height 25 cm. Handle expertly reset and with traces of former tin lid; body with unobtrusive cracks (pasted?).
Handle renewed, else with here and there mild superficial wear but in good condition.
