*After the German invasion of Belgium, many Belgian refugees were brought to the Kamp van Zeist. In 1914, 32,000 Belgian soldiers fled to the Netherlands after the fall of Antwerp in order to escape imprisonment. Arriving in the country, they were arrested per the 'Landonzijdigheidsverdrag' and placed in internment camps. (total 66)
