Manuscript (Dutch, c. 1865). Oblong folio, halfcloth with decorative illustrated front board with manuscript title and drawing of a girl with dollhouse and a small dog. Calligraphed dedication 'Aan Suzanna Elizabeth van Reeck Calkoen' to the first leaf and 4 fine drawings in pen and ink (± 16.5 x 12 cm.) of children playing; mounted with border in ink and ms. title written below. Copied after or model for the picture book Goede vriendschap by P.J. Trap (Leiden, 1865).

Front board with small stains and first print with punch-through. Artist unknown; lacks a few leaves. Good copy with booktrader's label.
