[Album amicorum] Lot with 3 mid-19th-century alba amicorum,
two blindstamped cardboard boxes and one box clad with silk and gold paper, all bookshaped with loose contents (incl. many loose sheets in various colours), various oblong 8vo sizes.
Two boxes in poor/ bad condition with loose front board, the third box in good condition but with only 5 contributions (1845-1848). The album with the metal plate with "Souvenir" on the front board contains 20 contributions dated 1837-1845, incl. drawings, embroidery, a hairpiece and perforating-pen works by, among others, members of the Godschalk and Lamotte families, E. Engeler, A.J.M.M. Machen, Ali van Lawick van Pabst, L. Ritschie, J.G.P. van der Colff, C. Hoffmann, C.R.H. van Straaten and D. de Braconier. The slightly larger album with the gold winged waterhorses on the front board contains 12 drawn and manuscript contributions dated 1847-1854, among others by members of the Van Lijnden family, A. van Wijhe, C.P.H. Rojer, J.P.C. Meijlink, Jans Berkhout and D. Berendsen. Both contributions from lot 272 originally come from this box. (total 3)
