Albert Hahn Jr. (1894-1953). (1-22) "Cervantes. De avonturen van Don Quichote".

Series of 22 loose original (?) illustrations for the 1930 edition by De Torentrans in Utrecht, each signed, consisting of 15 large illustrations of 19.5 x 13.5 cm. and in mount (1x signed and "Ill. voor Cervantes Don Quichote uitg. "De Torentrans" Zeist" in pen), and 7 smaller, mounted illustrations (vignettes), in contemporary wrapper with title "Don Quichote" and (together with the rest of this lot) in portfolio with ties with label "Hahn Jr.".

Mounts and holders sl. foxed. With loose-leafed proof quires of the book up to p. 16. These illustrations (and the others in this lot) have been finished very cleanly on smooth paper, making it difficult to determine whether these concern originals; (23-44) "Ill. voor Uilenspiegel van Ch. de Coster uitg. H.J.W. Becht Amsterdam". Series of 21 loose original (?) illustrations for the aforementioned publication (1927), each 19 x 13 cm., mostly monogrammed in white paint or black ink, each affixed to holder with head margin, several holders signed and aforementioned title in pen; (45-54) Series of 9 original (?) designs for the work Groote Pier by Dirk Broeder, issued in 1940 by Kemink in Utrecht, with leaf size 18 x 15.5 cm. (6 chapter vignettes) and 22 x 16.5 cm. (3x, monogrammed), each affixed to holder with head margin. With a proof page of the aforementioned publication. And with 11 more by/ concerning the same, incl. proofs of book covers. (total 60+)
