Travel diary illustrated with drawings in various media

student drawing book with 26 leaves written on one side, leaves dated Wednesday 30 April to Saturday 30 May (c. 1930), with (facing the text) 19 drawings mainly in pen and coloured chalk (several in gouache), 3 smaller illustrations in pen and coloured chalk in the text, 14 blank leaves, original wrapper with label of G.C.T. van Dorp & Co. Semarang, Soerabaia, Bandoeng (wrapper loose).

Lovely diary with very smooth, strong drawings, we were unable to trace the artist. Possibly Robert Deppe, of whom 7 photos of signed drawings dated 1931 have been added to the diary. (total 8)
