(Earth, New Year's greeting 1953). Relief print printed from two stereotype blocks in black and orange, monogrammed in the block, with book printing in grey, leaf 17.2 x 15 cm (small crease to bottom left corner). Bool/ Locher 382 (as woodcut from two blocks printed in blue-grey and brown). This is a new edition of the print with other colours, mounted in the magazine Boekcier, Tweede Reeks, no. 3, 14th year, July 1959.

Typed explanation below the print: "Tekening M.C. Escher, Baarn 1952; onderwerp: aarde, nummer 1 van de reeks De vier elementen. Een oplage voor dit nummer, in nieuwe kleuren-combinatie, is ons door Ir. Eug. Strens ter beschikking gesteld."
