Jan Huygen van Linschoten (1563-1611) (after). "Arbre de Raijs ofte Wortelboom"

Engraving by Baptista van Doetecum (died 1611), 25 x 32 cm., signed in the plate upper left (Van Linschoten) and upper right (Van Doetecum), from an edition of Van Linschoten's Itinerario unknown to us (first issue 1596).

Minimal hole, else with smoothened middle fold and other folds. Good impression with lovely margins. Rarely offered loose print from Van Linschoten's iconic book. The lower right corner shows an engraved Roman "I", which we did not find on other copies shown online.
