[Book illustrations] Lot with ± 80 engraved plates,
mostly from various parts of Peter Lambeck and Daniel de Nessel, "Catalogi Bibliothecae Caesareae Manuscriptorum" (1690) (several part titles and a few text leaves have been preserved), various (folding) folio sizes.
Lambeck and Nessel's monumental, very profusely illustrated work "Catalogus, sive recensio specialis omnium codicum manuscriptorum Graecorum, nec non linguarum orientalium, Augustissimae bibliothecae Caesareae Vindobonensis (...)" appeared in 8 parts in Vienna, at L. Voigt and J.B. Endter, 1690. The work (which remained unfinished after the death of Lambeck (1628-1680) and was issued with supplement by Nessel) is very rare. (total ± 80)
