Title page with old stamped bookplate also closing off a small hole; traces of removed bookplate to inside front board. Leather rubbed as usual with this type of leather. Good copy. This series of engravings of shrines and epitaphs of famous men (engraved by Tobias Fendt) first appeared in 1574. The series was reprinted several times with the original plates, this is the first edition with the text by Boxhorn (1602-1653).
